“As soon as I put a design on paper, something happens.
The sound of the pencil is like an exciting echo of our subconscious.”Elsa Peretti Elle Decor, April 1993

ELSA PERETTI: THE PHILANTHROPIST

“I wanted a foundation with a very broad statute. Every year we welcome and evaluate
educational, cultural and artistic, medical research, environmental conservation and human
rights projects. I wanted to keep a window open to the world, a very large one,
to understand what is happening and how to do my part.”Elsa Peretti Gazzetta di Parma, September 2020

“When I started designing, I collected many things for their beauty and what they meant to me as an inspiration, I was fascinated by a lot – intrinsic value, no value with a fetishist approach, symbolism that may be found in seeds or bones, for example. My personal museum is simply a collection of gifts and pieces I have found, purchased and bought home over 30 years. It may go from a Celadon plate to a bone polished by nature and time.”Elsa Peretti Interiors Magazine USA, July-August 2018

“I dedicate every second of my life to be fair with myself, to my people, and my customers.
I demand a lot from myself. Maybe I am a little too Taurus. But at least I feel I accomplished something.”Elsa Peretti Vanity Fair, August 2014
